How do I replace the air filter in a Ford Taurus?

On the left side of the engine compartment, you can find an air filter that is placed in a housing. To remove it, you are supposed to release the clamps, separate the cover halves and pull out the filter element. When dirty, examine or replace it. When slightly dusty, use compressed air to blow it clean. Avoid washing or oiling it. If cleaning is impossible throw away and get a new one instead of it. Take care not to drop anything into this housing. Never drive without air cleaner. Wipe this housing and install a new filter which is secured with clamps.
