There are two speed sensors in the vehicle: the Turbine Shaft Speed (TSS) sensor and the Output Shaft Speed (OSS) sensor. The TSS sensor is located on top of the transaxle, while the OSS sensor is located in the valve body of the transaxle. To repair the OSS sensor, you should take it to your local dealer or other qualified repair shop. To remove the sensor, raise the vehicle and secure it on jackstands, then remove the engine undercover. Disconnect the electrical connector from the sensor and remove the sensor mounting bolt. Discard the old sensor O-ring and replace it with a new one when installing the sensor. The installation process is the reverse of removal.
