How to replace the Distributor Cap and spark plug wires on Ford Thunderbird?

When changing the spark plug wires, apply a silicone dielectric compound inside each boot before reconnecting. Whenever putting in new spark plugs, make sure to inspect and if necessary change spark plug wires. While engine is running in a dark and well-ventilated garage visually check spark plug wires for arcing or sparks. Starting from the number one cylinder spark plug, inspect one wire at a time and mark each as needed for reinstallation. Disconnect and reattach individual wires carefully, ensuring proper fits as well as cleaning them thoroughly. Watch for burns, cracks, and damage by avoiding sharp bends. Each wire should be properly secured on distributor and spark plugs.
