- Q: How to remove and install the grille on Ford Crown Victoria?A:For up to 1991 models, to uninstall the grille for the Crown Victoria, first, there will be four retaining screws that can be loosened, then, with a small screwdriver, you will talk to the plastic locking tabs, then pull out the grille. As for the grille of the Grand Marquis, unscrew the six locking tabs and pull the grille out. To remove, use a screwdriver to remove the grille, but before removing it, ensure that it MAKES a click when pressed to ensure it is properly in place, You also put back any screws that were removed. The grille can be removed from the Crown Victoria produced in 1992 and 1993 in the following way: There are seven locking tabs along the top and two at the bottom; use a small screwdriver to unlock the grille. For the Grand Marquis, the grille comes off; first off this requires the removal of the cover panel situated behind the grille as well as the side marker and headlights for easy access, the grille is then fully detached after the removal of eleven nuts and four screws. Removal: Installation is performed in the opposite way. For 1994 and later models, on the Crown Victoria, for 1994 to 1997 models, you then remove both headlight housings; on later models, no headlight housings need be removed. Pop any screws holding the grille to the headlight housings, there are many differently positioned screws and clips, some of which can be removed only from behind the reinforcement panel that can only be removed after the removal of the plastic radiator sight shield. For Grand Marquis, 1994 and 1995, Side marker/ cornering lights can be removed by unplugging and the headlamp housing by unscrewing it, grille can be removed on this model by unscrewing the nine nuts and two screws. In the cars manufactured in 1996 and later years, the grille can be unbolted by being first loosened by four bolts and only four on this dimension are used, but the fasteners for them are glued and located to the reinforcement panel, sometimes the plastic shield of the radiator sight being initially has to be removed. Removal is exactly the opposite of installation.
