How to remove and install Trailing Arm on Ford Edge?

To replace suspension components, first, loosen the wheel lug nuts, then raise the vehicle and remove the wheels. To do this, disconnect the wheel speed sensor from the upper Trailing Arm as well as the brake hose bracket, and lower rear sub-frame and remove the upper arm bolts. Also, the rear coil spring will be removed together with the cam adjuster bolt that forms part of the lower Trailing Arm. The Trailing Arm requires the removal of the brake caliper, brake disc, and parking brake shoes in addition to detaching the wheel speed sensor plus brake hose bracket. Models produced between 2011 and 2014 require supporting the lower control arm while removing the stabilizer bar link, parking brake cable bracket, and Trailing Arm-to-rear knuckle bolts. Make sure you mark the position of the adjuster cam on the toe link before removing the fasteners so that they can be replaced later on.
