Ford Explorer Sport Trac Brake Master Cylinder

Brake Master Cylinder in Ford Explorer Sport Trac is an important brake system that moves the pressure of the driver's foot into hydraulic pressure. This hydraulic pressure is communicated to the slave cylinders which in turn actuate the brakes; the friction needed to stop the car is thus created. The typical structure of the master cylinder contains two circuits which have two piston so that typically if one circuit brakes, the other can still supply braking which normally increases safety. The Brake Master Cylinder also may have an integral reservoir of cast iron or aluminum, or external nylon or plastic reservoir. In turn, the external reservoirs may have screwed-on caps, and the kinds that are integrated into the neck, have one cap, which secured by the wire bail. There are problems of fluid leaks and internal failure which cause a reduction in the performance of the brake master cylinder. Visually inspecting it for any leakage and moisture should be on a regular basis to enable proper functioning of the Brake Master Cylinder and safety of driving conditions.
