How to replace the TP sensor on Ford F-150?

On all 4.2L V6 and 2004 4.6L and 5.4L V8 models, the TP sensor is not replaceable; if replacement is necessary the whole electronic throttle body assembly must be replaced, which involves a new TP sensor. In 4.6L and 5.4L V8 model years 2005 and 2006 as well as 2005 through 2008, if the TP sensor is replaced it needs to be replaced with a new one since the manufacturer does not permit the reuse of the part.
