How to remove and install Cigarette Lighter on Ford Focus?

Disconnect the negative battery cable, then remove the heater control panel. Release the retaining clips inside the cigarette lighter insert and slide it out from the plastic panel, unclipping and sliding out the metal insert. Push the plastic surround out to release it from the control panel, and unclip the bulb holder from the plastic surround to remove the bulb. Installation is a reversal of the removal procedure.
