How do you remove and install a transaxle mount on Ford Fusion?

Insert a large screwdriver or prybar between the mount and the transaxle and pry up. The transaxle should not move excessively away from the mount; if it does, replace the mount. Remove the battery and battery tray. Remove the air filter housing. Unbolt and set aside the underhood fuse/relay box. Supporting the transaxle with a floor jack, remove the nuts and bolts to take off the mount, raising the transaxle slightly if necessary to provide enough clearance. Disconnect the two clips securing the clutch hydraulic hose, which includes one metal U-clip and one plastic clip on the transmission mount. Remove the remaining mount bolts. Installation is the reverse of removal, ensuring all mount fasteners are installed before tightening any of them.
