To replace spark plugs, locate them in the center of the valve cover(s). For V6 models, accessing the rear cylinder bank plugs may require removing the upper intake manifold. Tools needed include a spark plug socket, extensions, a gap gauge, and a torque wrench. Purchase new plugs in advance, adjust gaps, and replace them one at a time. Ensure correct plug type. Allow engine to cool completely before removal. Check new plugs for defects and gap adjustments. Use a gauge to check and adjust gap as specified on label. Remove ignition coils to access plugs, clean around plug hole with compressed air. Remove and replace each plug, applying anti-seize compound and using torque wrench or ratchet for proper tightening.
