How to remove and install a hood on a Lincoln Town Car?

The hood is heavy and awkward to remove and install, so two people should do it. Use blankets or pads to protect the body and paint. Disconnect cables and wire harnesses. Draw alignment marks around the bolt washers. Have an assistant remove the hinge bracket-to-hood bolts and lift off the hood. Installation is the reverse. Adjust the hood by moving the hinge plate and tighten the bolts. Adjust the hood latch assembly up-and-down and side-to-side. Adjust the hood closed height by moving the latch up or down. Adjust the hood bumpers on the radiator support. Lubricate the hood latch assembly and hinges regularly.
