To ensure that the vehicle does not drop, lift it up and put it on stands, securely. Disconnect the nut from each end of the sway bar kit and take it off from the links. In 1988-1991 models, the lower control arms act as a bridge between the links and the sway bar kits. On 1992 and after this, they are attached to the steering knuckles. Detach the nut from each end to disconnect the sway bar kit from the links. In 2006, remove shock absorber/coil spring assembly. Unfasten nuts clamping down on sway bar kit clamps. Detach nuts holding bushing clamps attaching bar to the frame if you want to detach the frame from the sway bar kit. Remove bar that stabilizes the car during motion. The process of fitting back is the reverse of removal. Fasten all screws firmly as required by the manufacturer's specifications.

The axle housing must be free to hang down so that the shock absorbers are fully extended.

Remove the nut at each end of the stabilizer bar and disconnect the bar from the links.

On 1988 through 1991 models, the four stabilizer bar-to-lower suspension arm bolts should be removed and the bar should be removed.
