- A:To remove the air intake assembly, start by detaching the cable from the negative terminal of the battery. Then, loosen the bolt(s) from the air intake assembly on the intake manifold and the clamps on the air filter box. Remove the air intake assembly from the engine compartment by removing the mounting bolt and clamp. Unclip the upper half of the air filter box assembly and remove it. Next, remove the air filter element. Finally, remove the air filter box mounting nuts and detach the assembly. To reinstall, simply reverse the removal process.Posted by FordPartsGiant Specialist
