Q:
How to replace Blower Motor and Blower Motor Resistor on Ford Taurus? Posted by Customer
A:
Remove the scuff plate, trim panel and panel insulator from the passenger's foot well, below the glove box. Note: On 2009 and earlier models, the resistor and speed control are two separate units located near each other. In 2010 and later models the resistor and speed control are combined into a single unit. These components vary the speed of the blower motor. Disconnect the electrical connector from the blower motor resistor/speed control. Remove the resistor/speed control mounting screws and remove the resistor/speed control. Installation is the reverse of removal. Disconnect the blower motor electrical connector. On 2008 and later models, remove the blower motor vent tube clips and disconnect the vents from the heating and air conditioning evaporator core. Remove the blower motor mounting fastener. Rotate the blower motor to release it, and remove the blower motor. Installation is the reverse of removal.
