Due to side loads on the brake pedal which uneven the braking system of the car, it is very important to replace or reground both the front brake discs at the same instance. Firstly, engage the parking brake and then turn the relevant wheel nuts should be loosened and then jack up the front part of the car and put on stands and then remove the suitable front wheel. Then cage the front wheel by removing the front brake caliper from the disc yet retaining the flexible hose at the caliper mounting bolt. Screw on two of the wheel nuts to the diagonally opposite studs so that the flat ends are touching the disc and then tighten them gradually till the disc is well secured. Any rust on disc's circumference must be removed, than the disc must be rotated and checked for deep scratches, grooves, cracks, and the thickness in various position must be measured with the micrometer; if this wear exceeds permitted level, the disc must be reground or replaced, maintaining certain minimum thickness. Run out of the disc should be measured with the help of a dial gauge or placing a flat metal block on the disc and using feeler gauges they should not be over certain limits. If the run-out is high, measure the thickness at eight points as to determine if it varies; if the difference is high, the disc is replaced. The hub face run-out can also be checked in this manner and if it must be large, corrective action should be taken prior to rechecking the disc run-out. After pulling out the wheel and caliper, reverse some of the steps and pull out the temporarily fitted wheel nuts, and if the disc is to be refitted, scribe some mark on the disc in relation to the hub then take out the washer or the retaining clips and finally pull out the disc over the studs. Make sure that both the disc and the hub mating surfaces are free from debris, then place the disc on the wheel studs and ensure that any markings made previous if you are reusing the same disc are put into alignment. Replace the brake caliper and carrier bracket, fit the wheel on, drop down the vehicle and then snug the wheel nuts to the intend torque. Last of all, check the brake very gently and then release the car to its normal usage.
