    The control switch has a selector portion that sends voltage to the left or right side mirror. With the ignition in the ACC position and the engine OFF, you can roll down the windows and operate the mirror control switch through all functions (left-right and up-down) for both the left and right side mirrors.

    How do you remove the Type 1 interior mirror for the 2014 Ford Fusion? Posted by Customer

    1. Disconnect the electrical connection. 2. Use the special service tool 501-190, which is required to release the mounting clip. 3. Place the jaw of the tool into the bottom portion of the mirror base as far in as possible. 4. Clamp the tool onto the mirror base (this will release the mounting clip). 5. Tap the base of the tool upwards. The rear view mirror should slide upwards about 3 mm. 6. Remove the tool, then slide the mirror off of the base.
