    Q:
How to remove and install a windshield wiper motor on Ford Bronco II? Posted by Customer
    A:
For Front Wiper Motor, Turn the wiper switch on. Turn the ignition switch on until the blades are straight up and then turn ignition off to keep them there. Remove the right wiper arm and blade. Remove the negative battery cable. Remove the right pivot nut and allow the linkage to drop into the cowl. Remove the linkage access cover, located on the right side of the dash panel near the wiper motor. Reach through the access cover opening and unsnap the wiper motor clip. Push the clip away from the linkage until it clears the nib on the crank pin. Then, push the clip off the linkage. Remove the wiper linkage from motor crank pin. Disconnect the wiper motor's wiring connector. Remove the wiper motor's three attaching screws and remove the motor. Install the motor and attach the three attaching screws. Tighten to 60-65 inch lbs. (6.7-7.3Nm). Connect the wiper motor's wiring connector. Install the clip completely on the right linkage. Make sure the clip is completely on. Install the left linkage on the wiper motor crank pin. Install the right linkage on the wiper motor crank pin and pull the linkage on to the crank pin until it snaps. The clip is properly installed if the nib is protruding through the center of the clip. Reinstall the right wiper pivot shaft and nut. Reconnect the battery and turn the ignition ON. Turn the wiper switch off so the wiper motor will park, then turn the ignition OFF. Replace the right linkage access cover. Install the right wiper blade and arm. Check the system for proper operation. Rear Window Wiper Motor: Disconnect the negative battery cable. Remove the wiper arm and blade. Remove the liftgate interior trim. Remove the motor attaching bolts (3). Disconnect the electrical leads. Remove the wiper motor from the vehicle. Install the wiper motor in position and connect the electrical leads. Install the liftgate trim. Connect the negative battery cable.

    Q:
How do you remove and install the front and rear wiper motors on Ford Explorer? Posted by Customer
    A:
Rotate the front windshield wiper switch on and the switch on the ignition and have your hand on the key until the wiper blades are towards the straight up position, switch off the ignition. Remove the nuts from the cell bottom as well as the right side wiper arm and blade assembly. On the models from 1991 to 1996, unbolt the pivot nut on the right side of the linkage post and let the linkage falls down into the cowl. For all cars of the 1997 and later, Release both cowl vent as panels before continuing. For the models between 1991 and 1996, you should start by withdrawing the wiper linkage access cover, from the inside of the car you will unsnap the wiper motor clip and slide it away from the crank pin nib on the linkage and pop it off. Pull out the wiper linkage from the motor crank pin and in case of models 1997 and later, dismantle the linkage arms by pulling the clips at the ends of the arms, likewise, remove the cowl vent panels and remove the linkages from the motor. Unplug the wire harness connection to the motor, and unbolt the motor, kindly note that some of the bolts are stud/bolts; you have to remove the nut besides the ground strap or harness. Of course the opposite of removal, ensure the wiper blades are in the park position before installing the linkage to the motor. For the rear wiper motor you need to remove the negative cable from the battery, then remove the wiper blade from the window as it has to be lifted off the motor spindle. Disconnect the lift gate trim panel, UNSCREW the motor bracket screws, an extract the motor as well as bracket from the grommet. Remove the electrical connector of the vehicle, the wiring locator pins and also the motor. Installation also takes place in the reverse sequence to removal.
