Mark the positions of the wiper blades on the windshield with a grease pen or pieces of tape, then remove the windshield wiper arms by prying the lock away from the wiper arm assembly and lifting the arm off its shaft. Next, remove the left and right cowl covers. Disconnect the electrical connector from the wiper motor by depressing the release tab and pulling off the connector. Remove the windshield wiper motor assembly mounting bolts to detach the assembly from the cowl and lift it out, followed by removing the wiper assembly. Detach the windshield wiper linkage arms from the wiper motor crank arm by prying off each linkage arm from the pin on the end of the crank arm, ensuring they are reassembled in the same order, then remove the crank arm retaining nut and the crank arm itself, followed by the three wiper mounting bolts to take the motor from its mounting bracket. Remove the wiper motor crank arm and then the wiper motor from its mounting bracket. Installation is the reverse of removal, ensuring to align the wiper blades with the marks made earlier before pushing them onto their shafts.
