    Q:
How to remove front transfer case output shaft seal on Ford F-250? Posted by Customer
    A:
To remove the oil seal, start by raising the vehicle and supporting it securely on jackstands. If the filler plug is higher than the lowest part of the seal, drain the transaxle to prevent fluid loss. Mark the front driveshaft to transfer case yoke orientation, remove the driveshaft, and swing it out of the way. Hold the yoke with a suitable tool and remove the yoke retaining nut. Remove the front output shaft yoke nut, washer, and rubber seal if applicable. Take out the yoke and slinger from the transfer case output shaft. Remove the seal using a slide-hammer and adapter or by carefully prying it out with a blunt screwdriver. Inspect the oil seal contact surface on the case for any damage and clean it. To replace the seal, apply multi-purpose grease and position it squarely into the case bore with the markings facing outwards. Drive the seal into the bore using an appropriately sized seal driver or equivalent tool. Clean and lightly lubricate the yoke splines, then slip the slinger and yoke over the output shaft and past the new seal until it bottoms. Coat the face of the yoke retaining nut with RTV sealant and apply thread locking compound to the threads. Install the rubber seal, washer, and yoke retaining nut onto the output shaft, tightening it to the specified torque. Install the front driveshaft, refill the transfer case lubricant, and lower the vehicle. If necessary, shift out of 4WD mode before returning the vehicle to normal service.

How to remove and install extension house seals in Manual transmission on Ford Bronco II? Posted by Customer
    A:
To remove and install the extension housing seal for various transmissions, crank the car, detach the negative battery terminal and jack up the car. Put a suitable drain pan under the extension housing and ensure that the surrounding area of the seal is cleaned. Put the mark on the driveshaft in line with the rear axle flange, then remove the two driveshaft bolts and pull the driveshaft back from the transmission. Remove the extension housing seal with an oil seal removal tool. For installation, a layer of gear lubricant should be applied at the lip of the new oil seal to be fitted into the extension housing using an installation tool with the proper orientation of the drain hole. Replace the driveshaft and position it correctly as it was done when being removed then fasten it with the attaching washer, lock washer and nuts. Examine the fluid level and top up with the correct type of fluid, lower the car and reconnect the battery terminal that has been removed negative terminal. The procedure remains the same for both Mitsubishi and M50D 5-speed transmissions with the following notes as follows The following tools should be used Schweitzer-LME 3L Gear oil 75W-90.

    Q:
What are the steps for performing a fuel pressure test for the 1993 Ford F-250? Posted by Customer
    A:
To perform a fuel pressure test, follow these steps:1. Obtain a fuel pressure gauge and adapter set (fuel line fittings).2. Relieve the fuel pressure.3. Lay a shop towel over any fuel connection to be disassembled to absorb the residual fuel.4. Check the fuel system's delivery by listening at the fuel filler opening while an assistant turns the ignition key to the On position (engine not running).5. If no sound is heard, check the fuel pump fuse, relay, and circuit. If the issue persists, there may be a problem in the fuel pump circuit or a faulty fuel pump.6. Check for battery voltage to the fuel pump relay connector and power relay connector. If present, have the relays tested at a qualified automotive repair shop.7. If no voltage is present, check the fuses and wiring circuit.8. For the operating pressure check, attach the fuel pressure gauge to the test port and activate the fuel pump without starting the engine.9. Note the fuel pressure and measure it again with the engine idling.
