Lubricate the seals and insert the drive axle into the differential or intermediate shaft, ensuring the spring clip locks in place. For the left-side drive axle, position the clip gap at 6 o'clock for easier insertion. Apply grease to the outer CV joint splines. Secure the knuckle assembly and connect the lower control arm. Seat the drive axle with the old drive axle/hub nut, tighten it while preventing rotation, then replace it with a new nut, tightening within five minutes of initial threading. Install the wheel, lower the vehicle, and tighten the lug nuts.
