Regular maintenance involves checking hoses for blockages or damage and ensuring correct routing. The canister is located under the car, behind the fuel tank, and its removal is detailed in the fuel tank removal procedure. The purge valve is at the rear of the engine compartment. To remove, disconnect hoses and wiring plug, then release from its bracket. On 2005 and later models, a heat shield over the purge valve must be removed for access.
