To remove the stop-light switch you first need to turn off the power by disconnecting the negative battery cable. After that, remove four screws with a scredriver, and using a flathead, take out a retaining clip to disconnect the dash lower panel, then unplug the multi-plug on the trim panel. Unplug the wiring connector from the brake light switch and using a quarter turn turn the switch anti-clockwise if it is in the upper part of the pedal or clockwise if it is in the lower part of the switch.
