The accessory drive belt is very important for engine parts' work. Periodic checking is necessary for wear. To ensure the belt, lift the front of the vehicle, take off the right-hand wheel, and check it for cracks, separation, fraying, and glazing. Check pulleys for nicks, cracks, and corrosion. Replacement includes loosening lug nuts, raising the vehicle, and taking out the wheel and splash shield. Release tension, properly fit new belt, and reassemble components.

To replace the accessory drivebelt on four-cylinder models from 2015 and later, follow these steps: Remove the engine cover. Release and replace the belt while following the correct routing.

To replace this belt, disconnect the cable from the negative terminal of the battery, loosen the right front wheel lug nuts, raise the vehicle, and remove the wheel and splash shield. Insert a flexible material under the belt at the pulley, rotate the engine, and pull the strap to force the belt from the pulley. Install the new belt, making sure it is properly positioned.

To inspect the accessory drivebelt, follow these steps: Raise the front of the vehicle and secure it on jackstands. Remove the right-hand wheel and splash shield in the right fender well. Inspect the entire belt length for cracks, separation, fraying, or glazing. Assess the pulleys for damage. Replacement may not be necessary until the belt has traveled over 100,000 miles. Small cracks in ribbed belts may be acceptable unless they are extensive or deep.

Tensioner replacement involves removing bolts and reinstalling them to specified torque values.
