1. Disconnect the cable from the negative terminal of the battery. 2. Raise the front of the vehicle and place it securely on jackstands. 3. Locate the IAC valve on the underside of the intake manifold. 4. Disconnect the electrical connector from the IAC valve. 5. Remove the IAC mounting bolts. 6. Remove the IAC valve and discard the old gasket. 7. Using a new gasket, install the IAC valve and tighten the bolts to the torque. 8. Reconnect the IAC valve electrical connector. 9. Lower the vehicle and reconnect the cable to the negative battery terminal. 10. After reconnecting the battery, the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) must relearn its idle and fuel trim strategy for optimum driveability and performance.
