To change the exterior light bulbs the following steps should be followed, Lift the front of the car using the jack and put it on the jackstands. Pull the front parking light or turn signal light bulb electrical connector housing out of the electrical connection, then unthread the bulb holder counterclockwise from the headlight housing. The procedure of removing bulb is pulling the bulb upwards, and for installation one has to push the bulb as far as possible into the holder following the removal steps. For front fog light bulbs used on the vehicles prior to 2010, first, the upper radiator cover and then the upper bumper cover bolts to pull the grille forward. Twist the fog light bulb socket anti-clockwise to unlock it, then pull it out and unplug the connector and the process for reinstalling is vice-versa. For 2011 and later models, lift the vehicle, uninstall the center of the inner fenderwell splash shield, clip off the electrical connector, and you will be needing an extra tool, a quarter turn clockwise to unlock the bulb holder. Shown at right, the high-mount brake light bulb can be accessed by removing the decklid latch trim cover, although 2010 and later models make use of non-serviceable LED bulbs. Unlock the locking lugs, pull the old bulb out and simply put the new bulb in and push until it is firm. For brake, taillight, and turn signal bulbs, the rear inside trunk finishing panel must be removed to get access to the taillight housing after which the grommet and mounting nuts need to be released and the housing pulled off. Twist the bulb socket anti-clockwise to undo it, and the pull the bulb horizontally and then simply insert a new one until it clicks into place. Directional light bulbs and back-up light bulbs are performed in the same way as taillight bulbs. For license plate light bulbs, begin by unscrewing the assembly, the rotation of the socket in a counter clockwise direction has got to be removed, the bulb then has to be pulled straight out and a new one installed. Sidemarker light bulbs must be replaced after the housing is lifted from the bumper cover, the electrical connector is disconnected and the socket is unscrewed in anti-clockwise direction. To replace the bulb simply pull out the bulb with steady force in the direction where it was acquired. Interior map reading light bulbs can be replaced by removing the overhead console trim cover, then uninstalling the bulb socket and pulling the bulb straight up to replace it with a new bulb, with the process being the reverse when reinstalling.
