    Q:
How to remove and reinstall the Engine Oil Pressure (EOP) sensor on Ford Edge? Posted by Customer
    A:
The Oil Pressure Switch (OPS) measures the oil pressure and sends this information to the PCM. A problem in the OPS circuit will set a diagnostic trouble code. If the OPS is to be reinstalled, apply sealant to the sensor threads. On 2.0L models, the OPS is located at the side of the oil filter housing just above the oil filter. To remove it, raise the front of the vehicle and support it securely on jackstands. Working under the vehicle, remove the engine lower splash shield. Locate and disconnect the OPS electrical connector above the oil filter. Use a deep socket or wrench to unscrew the OPS. Installation is the reverse of removal. Tighten the sensor to the torque. On 2.7L models, the OPS is located on the rear side cylinder head, near the turbocharger. To remove it, remove the two fasteners on the engine cover. Lift up at the front and unhook the retainers at the rear of the cover to remove. Remove the right hand air cleaner outlet. Remove the charge air cooler intake pipe. Locate and disconnect the OPS electrical connector. Use a deep socket or wrench to unscrew the OPS. Installation is the reverse of removal. Tighten the sensor to the torque.

    A:
The EOP sensor is located at the side of the oil filter housing just above the oil filter.
