The ICV, controlled by voltage pulses from the PCM, is located on the throttle body. If these checks show a problem, replace the ICV.

    Several checks can be performed. First, check for the voltage signal from the PCM by probing the wires of the IAC valve electrical connector with a voltmeter. The voltage should be around 10.5 to 12.5 volts. If the voltage is correct, measure the resistance across the terminals of the IAC valve, which should be between 6.0 to 13.0 ohms. Additionally, check for any internal short circuits by measuring the resistance from either terminal to the IAC body, which should be 10,000 ohms or greater.
