    Q:
How to remove and install a rear stabilizer bar on a Lincoln Town Car with air suspension? Posted by Customer
    A:
On models with air suspension, turn the air suspension switch to Off before proceeding. Raise the rear of the vehicle and support it securely on jackstands. Place the jackstands under the frame, not under the axle housing. The axle housing must be free to hang down so that the shock absorbers are fully extended. Remove the four sway bar kit-to-lower suspension arm bolts on pre-1992 models, or remove the nuts that attach the sway bar kit ends to their links on 1992 and later models. Also, remove the bracket bolts that attach the sway bar kit to the axle housing on 1992 and later models. Note that some pre-1992 sway bar kits are also attached to the axle housing, while others are only attached to the lower suspension arms. To install, reverse the removal procedure, making sure to install the bar with the paint mark on the right-hand side of the vehicle for pre-1992 models. Tighten all fasteners to the specified torque values. Before driving a vehicle equipped with air suspension, turn the air suspension switch to On, start the engine, and allow the compressor to inflate the air suspension springs, which deflate automatically when the rear of the vehicle is raised.

    Q:
How should the stabilizer bar be removed on the 2002 Ford Crown Victoria? Posted by Customer
    A:
On 1992 and later models, the nuts that attach the stabilizer bar ends to their links should be removed, followed by the other link nut. Additionally, the bushing clamp bolts that attach the stabilizer to the axle housing should be removed, followed by the other clamp bolt.
