Road film can build up on the wiper blades and affect their efficiency, so they should be washed regularly with a mild detergent solution. If the wiper blade elements are cracked, worn or warped, or no longer clean adequately, they should be replaced with new ones. On 2007 and earlier models, lift the arm assembly away from the glass for clearance, rotate the wiper blade 90-degrees and slide the blade off of the arm. On 2008 and later models, lift the arm assembly away from the glass for clearance, press locking tabs inwards, then slide the wiper blade assembly out of the hook in the end of the arm. To release the blade holder, depress the locking tab downwards, then push the locking tabs inwards on each side and pull the wiper blade away from the arm. Attach the new wiper to the arm.
