This procedure applies to both the front and rear brakes. Begin by removing the cover from the brake fluid reservoir and siphoning out about half of the brake fluid. Loosen the wheel lug nuts, raise the vehicle, and support it securely on jackstands. Remove the wheels, working on one brake assembly at a time and using the assembled brake for reference if necessary. Wash the brake with brake system cleaner before starting work, ensuring to wash it thoroughly and allow it to dry while positioning a drain pan underneath to catch any residue; avoid using compressed air to blow off brake dust. Carefully inspect the brake disc, and if machining is necessary, remove the disc to also take out the pads from the caliper. Maintain order and pay attention to the captions under each illustration. When reinstalling the caliper, ensure the caliper bolts are tightened to the specified torque. After completing the job, firmly depress the brake pedal a few times to bring the pads into contact with the disc, and check the brake fluid level, adding more if needed to reach the appropriate level.

To maintain the brake, initially remove the brake fluid reservoir cover and draw off half of it with a siphon. Then, take off the lug nuts, lift up the vehicle, and secure it over jack stands. Later on, detach the wheels and concentrate on one brake system at a time. Another thing to remember is to push the piston back into the bore using C-clamp to make caliper removal easier. The method depends on various models. Additionally, when not removed, avoid wiping bolts' lubricating gel off it and hang the caliper using wire. Next, release caliper pins, anti-rattle clips, and brake pads taking care for correct positioning as well as lubrication. If necessary inspect and machine the brake disc. Lastly, tighten the bolts when reinstalling the caliper and use new slippers (for 2004-onward models). Check the fluid level by pushing down on the pedal after finishing a task to determine if any adjustment is required or not.
