    Q:
How to remove and install the window regulator motor and Window Regulator on Ford Fusion? Posted by Customer
    A:
On 2013 and later models, the window regulator must be removed first to access the window motor mounting screws. Begin by removing the door trim panel and disconnecting the electrical connector from the regulator motor. Secure the window in place with tape, then remove the three regulator motor mounting screws and take out the motor, with installation being the reverse of removal, followed by performing the de-initialization/initialization procedures. For 2012 and earlier models, remove the door trim panel, disconnect all electrical wiring harness connectors and clips, including the door latch electrical connector, keyless entry keypad, door lock electrical connector, and power mirror electrical connector. Remove the inside door handle and disconnect the actuator cable, then take off the wiring harness cover plate and access hole plug, lower the window glass until the glass clamp bolts are accessible, loosen both glass clamp bolts without removing them, and secure the window in place with tape. If the door window regulator motor is broken or disconnected, it must be removed, and the window glass moved manually. Lower the window regulator mechanism until it reaches the stops at the bottom of the regulator tracks, remove the front door speaker, take out the regulator assembly mounting bolts, and remove the regulator, with installation being the reverse of removal and followed by performing the de-initialization/initialization procedures. For 2013 and later models, after removing the door trim panel and front door speaker, take out the lower and upper access panel fasteners and panels, lower the window glass until the glass clamp bolts are accessible, loosen both glass clamp bolts without removing them, raise the window, and secure it in place with tape. Disconnect the electrical connector from the power window motor, remove the regulator mounting bolts, rotate the regulator assembly counterclockwise, and remove it through the lower access panel opening along with the module from the door, with installation being the reverse of removal and followed by performing the de-initialization/initialization procedures.
