    Q:
How do you remove and install door speakers, rear quarter speakers, and a trunk-mounted subwoofer speaker on Ford Focus? Posted by Customer
    A:
To change the door speakers begin by taking off the door trim panel and then removing the four cross-head screws which pulls the speaker from inner panel for the rear speaker of the 3-door model. To remove it, loosen the screw on the bottom and pull off the electrical connector followed by the speaker and reverse the above in case of re-installation. For rear quarter speakers in two-door models, there is a C-pillar trim panel bolt cover that has to be unbolted followed by unbolted of the C-pillar trim panel and then pulled inwards. In case the retention clips became stuck, take them out and place into C-pillar trim panel then they must be reinstalled. Pull and take out the door threshold scuff panel and deal with any clips, if necessary, in the same way. Free the door weather strip, get rid of the lower hinges and child seat anchorages, plus rear seat backrests, as well as get rid of the bezel from the seat belt sender. Removing the quarter trim panel requires pulling it away from its clips, after which the speaker connectors are unscrewed and disconnected, the trim panel is fastened in reverse to the initial process. For four-door models, first, disconnect the trim cover at the D-panel screw and also the screw freeing the D-pillar trim panel. In the trunk, to unlock the seat side bolster upper retainer, further take out the rear seat cushion and the rear seat side bolster panel lower nut in order not twisting seat belt in the process of reinstallment. Disconnect and unbolt the lower seat belt; free the door weatherstripping; unfasten, but do not take out, the screw cover and screw for the upper and lower quarter trims, as well as the upper and lower quarter trims themselves. Treat any jammed clips as described above then undo the screws and the quarter panel speaker and disconnect the wiring before finally tightening the screws and putting back the quarter panel speaker in its proper place. For the subwoofer trunk-mounted speaker the point one should remember is that the whole speaker, amplifier and enclosure must be changed simultaneously. First Pop the left trunk trim panel, next disconnect the wires from the subwoofer, then un bolt the four screws to remove the subwoofer assembly and at last, install it in the reverse manner.

    Q:
How do you remove and install door and rear speakers on 2000-2011 Ford Ranger? Posted by Customer
    A:
The models are fitted with speakers in the doors from the factory and extra rear speakers are provided for models with AM/FM sound. Your specific model may have variations from the following procedure due to size and configuration of aftermarket speakers which has been fitted into some variants. To take out the door speakers, first, one has to take off the door panel, then the speakers that are attached to the door using screws are pulled out and the electrical connection also is disconnected. There are some conditions in which it is prohibited to continue the operation of radio with the speakers disconnected. Installation, on the other hand, is done in the reverse order that removal took. The procedure for the rear speakers is similar to that of the front ones: you have to take out the screws, extract the speaker out of the trim panel and, finally, unlock the electrical connector. As before, do not operate the radio with the speakers disconnected, and installation is done in the reverse order to the removal.

    Q:
How do you remove and install the radio and speakers on Ford F-150? Posted by Customer
    A:
Pull off the cable that is connected at the negative terminal of the battery. Pull back the Instrument panel center bezel. Take out the radio mounting screws and thus releases the radio from the instrument panel, just pull it out merely to allow access to the electrical connectors, and the antenna cable lies at the back of the radio unit. The electrical connectors and the antenna lead must be disconnected from the backside of the radio and the radio taken out. Installation is the process opposite to the removal and is similarly carried out to assemble a device on a surface it is to operate on. For front door speakers, first, you have to take out the front door trim panel and next, you have to remove the mounting screws of the speaker. To accomplish it, reach for the pin, disconnect the electrical connector from the speaker, and then take the speaker out. Removal and Installation refers to responding accordingly; it means that installation is the antonym of removal. The front door speaker trim panel and the speaker mounting screws must be detached for this part. To remove the speaker, pull out on the speaker, then unlock the electrical connector by pressing on the tab located at the top of the connector and take off the speaker. Removal on the other hand is the reverse of installation. For rear door speakers, pull the rear door trim panel, then there will be screws that will have to be removed for the speakers. Slide out the speaker, unscrew the electrical connection and take out the speaker. Removal is the exact opposite of installation. For the instrument panel speaker, on 2009 and later models, pull the mat at the upper storage compartment outwards, then two screws will be revealed, by raising the upper storage compartment slightly, those two screws are detached so as to release the electrical connector of the speaker. Detach the top most portion of the storage area and in some instances, you shall have to unscrew the speaker mounting locations before lifting the speaker. Installation is the process of putting back something that has been earlier removed.
