Ford Bronco Ball Joint

The Ball Joint of Ford Bronco vehicles deals with the suspension and steering systems where it links the control arms to the steering knuckles. While permitting unconstrained rotation in two orthogonal planes, these ball joints do not enable translation, which positively affects the vehicle's handling and stability. Usually made out of steel, a ball joint is made of a bearing stud, a socket, both of which are surrounded with a rubber like cover that limits the access to dust and provides free movement of a lubricating material. ball joints in the modern cars dominate the older kingpin designs and they are far better concerning the relative adjustment of the caster and camber angles without regard to compliance which is uncomfortable in the car ride and increases the shoe wear of the tires. Besides, technological improvements in bearing designs and a dust boot seal have made it possible to have longer service intervals for ball joints and currently the sealed and ready-to-use ball joint designs do not require re-lubrication.
