How to remove and overhaul the master cylinder on Ford Expedition?

If you need to remove and overhaul the brake master cylinder, consider if a new one is available and how much it will cost. Place rags under brake line fittings and cover end of lines. Disconnect electrical connector from brake pressure switch. Loosen tube nuts and plug ends of brake lines. Remove mounting nuts, unplug electrical connector, and discard remaining fluid. Pry off reservoir, replace grommets if necessary. Remove fluid control valve and brake pressure switch. Remove piston assemblies; inspect all parts. Install new seals, lubricate before installing pistons. Attach diaphragm to reservoir cover plate. Bleed hydraulic system and install brake master cylinder.
