Q: How to perform torsion bar adjustment on Ford Expedition?
A: If there is an air suspension system, switch it off to adjust the torsion bar. To loosen lug nuts, raise the vehicle and secure it on jack stands. Take off the wheel and mark the position of the torsion bar. Using a puller, release tension and remove the adjustment nut. Slide forward to clear the cross member and remove the adjuster arm from the bar. Pull down and rearward on the torsion bar. If necessary, use brass drift to take it out. For installation purposes, lubricate the Control Arm and apply grease to parts of the adjuster and torsion bar. Align marks then reinstall the wheel. Lower the vehicle, tighten the lug nuts then measure ride height. Adjust the torsion bar until the vehicle sits levelly.
