How to remove and install front Window Regulator on Ford Explorer?

To begin, to get to the door trim panel and water shield, one has to start by taking out the window glass, and if the car has power windows then the electrical connector to the window motor is disconnected. Next, drill out the center of the rivets that hold the equalizer bracket in place, that is, except the new model from 2001 that uses nuts instead of rivets. Cautiously, clevis pin and cut out the regulator base plate rivets with inner door panel and one nut. The regulator and the glass bracket can now be placed in the door, with the help of the base plate locator tab. Bolt, rivet, screw, or otherwise secure the regulator to the inner door panel with 1/4-20 x 1-inch bolts, nuts, and washers The parts must be tightened tightly. Last but not the least, you have to perform the removal steps in reverse to accomplish the installation process.
