Insert a large screwdriver or prybar into the space between the transmission and the crossmember and try to pry the transmission up to check the transmission mount; if the transmission is easily moved, closely examine the rubber insulator part of the mount for tears or cracks, indicating it must be replaced. If there is any separation of the rubber, the mount is worn out. Remove the nuts attaching the mount to the crossmember, then raise the transmission with a floor jack until the mount studs clear the crossmember, and remove the bolts attaching the mount to the transmission. After removing the mount, installation is the reverse of the removal procedure, ensuring to tighten the nuts and bolts to the specified torque.
