Ford F-250 Ignition Coil

The Ford F-250 Ignition Coil is one of the major body parts that have a significant responsibility of operating the vehicle's ignition. It transforms the low voltages from the battery to high voltages in the form of power and uses the created spark to ignite the air/fuel mixtures in the cylinders. This is involving two coils made of insulated copper wire namely: Primary coil and Secondary coil wrapped round an iron core affiliated to a housing. The primary circuit involves the battery and Charging system whereas Secondary circuit involves High tension lead, Distributor cap and Spark plug wires. Some of the previous models of F-250 manufacturers used bring distributor ignition systems, coil-on-plug systems, and wasted spark systems among others. A failing ignition coil can cause the car to suddently stall, increased fuel consumption and decreased power - those are main reasons why this element should be regularly checked.
