Make sure the car is safely raised; then put a glove on while removing the plug and place the pan below it. Ensure all of the oil has been drained out completely while checking for metal particles as well. Once dry, reinstall the plug as well as move the pan beneath the filter. At this point, apply some lubricant to the gasket of the new filter after tightening it with your hand, and then lower the car down. Add five quarts of fresh oil into it, check the level through the dipstick before finally starting the engine for a short time.
