Ford Ranger Coolant Reservoir

Part for the Ford Ranger vehicles, known as the Coolant Reservoir or coolant recovery tank is an exceptionally vital element in the car's cooling system. Its major responsibility is to avoid spills of the coolant on the ground and also there is no presence of air inside the cooling system so as to avoid cases of rust and corrosion affecting the parts of the cooling system. The coolant reservoir is usually plastic as part of the cooling system and is linked to the radiator and there are two kinds namely the overflow tank systems and the expansion tank systems. Overflow system takes coolant from the radiator to the recovery tank, if pressure rises above the capacities of the cap while on the other hand expansion system has the tank integrated as part of the pressurized system that is used to expand and contract the coolant. It is advised that coolant recovery tank should be examined periodically to ensure that it does not crack, leak or wears out to the point of being useless.
