    Q: How do you remove and install the Drive Shaft on Ford Taurus?
    A: New fasteners should be provided by the manufacturer to replace the existing ones when the driveshaft is to be installed. Start with lifting the automobile until you get access to the under part of the vehicle and place jackstands securely and make sure the shift lever is Neutered. Mark, using chalk or a scribe, the position of the driveshaft flange relative to the differential pinion yoke so that it will fit into the position correctly after removal and use the same on the front U-joint flange where it connects to the transfer case. The muffler and exhaust will have to be unbolted from the frame for clearance to allow the removal of the driveshaft, the bolts securing the exhaust crossmember will have to be unscrewed for the crossmember to be removed. In front of the driveshaft, and the application of the following steps: remove the bolts that hold the driveshaft to the transfer case, next, remove the bolts fastening the universal joint flange to the differential pinion yoke. Second, undo bolts holding the centre support bearing. With the help of assistance, it is important to take out the driveshaft from the vehicle.
