How to remove and install the throttle body on Ford Taurus?

Disconnect the cable from the negative battery terminal. Remove the air intake duct. On four-cylinder models, loosen the clamps and remove the charge air cooler outlet pipe from the throttle body, then remove the upper charge air cooler outlet tube. Disconnect the electrical connector from the throttle body. Remove the throttle body mounting fasteners and detach the throttle body from the intake manifold, discarding the old gasket and replacing it with a new one. Cover the intake manifold opening with a clean shop towel. Installation is the reverse of removal; use a new gasket and tighten the throttle body fasteners to the specified torque.
