How do you remove the differential on Mercury Mariner?

To remove the differential on 2004 and earlier models, raise the vehicle and support it on jackstands. Remove the driveshaft, driveaxles, and differential bracket bolt. Disconnect the electrical connector and support the differential with a floor jack. Remove the four bolts securing it and carefully remove the differential. For installation, reverse the steps. On 2005 and later models, raise the vehicle and remove the spare tire, driveaxles, and driveshaft.
