    To remove the receiver-drier or accumulator, you need to have the system discharged by a dealer service department or an automotive air conditioning repair facility. Then, disconnect the cable at the negative battery terminal and disconnect the refrigerant inlet and outlet lines. Cap or plug the open lines immediately. Finally, remove the mounting bolt(s) and slide the receiver-drier assembly up and out of the mounting bracket.
