    Q:
What are the steps involved in the installation of the lower control arm for the 1992 Ford Crown Victoria? Posted by Customer
    A:
Secure the lower control arm with mounting bolts (not fully tightened initially). Use a spring compressor for 2002 and earlier models and properly seat the spring. Insert the balljoint stud into the steering knuckle. Tighten the castle nut and install a new cotter pin. On 2003 and later models, install the shock absorber/coil spring assembly. For 1988 through 1991 models, attach the stabilizer bar.

    Q:
What is the process for removing the upper control arm on the 1994 Ford Crown Victoria? Posted by Customer
    A:
Remove the cotter pin from the upper balljoint stud and loosen the stud nut slightly. Place a floor jack under the lower control arm and raise it slightly. Tap the steering knuckle near the upper balljoint stud with a hammer to loosen it. Use a balljoint stud separator if needed (note that this may damage the balljoint boot). Remove the nut from the upper balljoint stud and the upper control arm pivot shaft attaching bolts. Remove the upper control arm and pivot shaft as an assembly.
