    How to remove and install Trailing Arm on Ford Expedition? Posted by Customer

    2003 and later Expedition and Navigator models are equipped with independent rear suspension. Removal of rear suspension components on these models. If the vehicle is equipped with air suspension, turn off the air suspension system. The switch is located in the area of the right kick panel. Loosen the rear wheel lug nuts, raise the rear of the vehicle and support it securely on jackstands. Block the front wheels to keep the vehicle from rolling off the stands. Remove the rear wheels. Support the rear axle by placing a floor jack under the differential. To remove a Trailing Arm, unbolt it from the frame and from the axle. Installation is the reverse of removal. Reactivate the air suspension system, if equipped.
