The manufacturer recommends using new fasteners for the installation of the sway bar kit and links. Replacement bushings for coupes are different than those for convertibles, and the sway bar kit is different as well. Be sure that the replacement part is the right one for the vehicle you're working on. To begin, raise the rear of the vehicle and support it securely on jackstands, placing them under the frame, not under the axle housing. Next, remove the sway bar link-to-chassis fasteners and discard them. Then, remove the fasteners that attach the sway bar kit brackets to the brackets on the rear axle and remove the bar. Pull the brackets off the sway bar kit and inspect the bushings for cracks, hardening, and other signs of deterioration. If the bushings are damaged, remove and discard them. Inspect the sway bar link bushings and replace them if necessary. Lubricate the replacement bushings with a rubber lubricant, such as a silicone spray, and slide them onto the bar. Finally, installation is the reverse of removal, tightening all fasteners to the specified torque. Remove the jackstands and lower the vehicle.

Remove the stabilizer bar-to-link nuts and discard them, making sure to hold the ball stud with a wrench while loosening the link nuts.
