Open the tabs on the electrical connector with a flat-head screwdriver and pull the electrical connector of the washer pump. Take out two screws which fix the washer reservoir and the pump motor to the fenderwell, then lift the washer reservoir and unscrew the small hose from its base, and then cover the hose so that it does not spill fluids. Pump out the washer fluid into a clean jar that can be used for the next washing processes in case there will be leftover washer fluid. Very gently remove the retaining ring holding the pump motor in the reservoir receptacle; this the later models do not have a retain but use a rubber grommet to hold the pump in place and thus can easily be pulled out. Secure the retaining ring against the motor and plate using a 1-inch 12-point socket, then connect the hose to the reservoir fitting. Install the reservoir in the engine compartment, secure it with screws, and reconnect the electrical connector. Ensure the pump is not operated without fluid in the reservoir to avoid damage, then fill the reservoir, operate the pump, and check for leaks. For the rear washer, applicable only to models from 1991 to 1996, remove the quarter trim panel from the driver's side of the cargo area, disconnect the filler hose and electrical connector from the pump motor, pour the fluid into a container, and disconnect the discharge hose before removing the reservoir. Carefully pry the pump out of the reservoir, remove the seal and filter, and during installation, lubricate the inside of the seal with soapy water before pushing the pump in securely. Fill the reservoir slowly to avoid trapping air in the system, and do not operate the washers without fluid.

1. Disconnect the cable from the negative battery terminal. 2. Remove both wiper arm and blade assemblies from the pivot shafts. 3. Remove the cowl grille attaching screws and lift the grille slightly. 4. Disconnect the washer nozzle hose and remove the grille assembly. 5. Remove the wiper linkage clip from the motor output arm and disconnect the linkage from the arm. 6. Disconnect the wiper motor wiring connector. 7. Remove the three motor attaching screws and remove the motor.
