    Q:
How to replace the turn signal and hazard flasher unit on Mercury Mariner? Posted by Customer
    A:
This method is only for 2004 and earlier models. After that, there is a Smart Junction Box in the car. The dealer service department will need to diagnose the problem with this. Besides, both turn signals work through one electronic flasher unit installed under the instrument panel. Rapid flashing on one side of the turn signal indicator shows that a bulb has burnt out. If this does not happen, it could be because of a blown fuse, faulty flasher unit, broken switch, or loose connection. When it is necessary to change the flasher, it should be taken out from its mounting bracket first and then disconnected from its electrical connector. Before installing a new flasher compare an old one with it.
