    On V6 engines, remove the intake manifold. On early V6 engines, remove the noise shield. Carefully remove the noise shield packed between the intake runners of the lower intake manifold. Disconnect the knock sensor electrical connector. Remove the knock sensor retaining bolt and remove the knock sensor.
